Nancy Bilyeau, a long time writer friend whose historical thrillers are first-rate, has just put out the third novel with her intriguing artist main character Genevieve Planche. Genevieve combines artistic skills with espionage in immersive historical settings. The series is such fun.
Going Gothic
Nancy wrote a blog post about this latest novel, The Versailles Formula, for Miss Demeanors a Blog for Readers and Writers of Mystery, Crime, and Suspense Fiction. She talks about the faux gothic castle built by Sir Horace Walpole and the faux novel Walpole wrote, both of which provided the starting point for her twisty plot. The photo at the top is of that castle, Strawberry Hill in England. (Photo by Jonathan Cardy on wiki)
